Insurance company looking to add a couple actuarial analysts to their staff. Willing to consider 0-4 years of related experience. If candidates have 0 years of experience and are coming directly out of school, the MUST HAVE had a related internship with demonstrated skills in order to be considered. Ideal candidates must also have 1-2 exams already passed to be considered. Otherwise, the preference is to higher individuals with direct post-graduate working experience. Work will entail predominantly health insurance projects. Rotational program lasts 18 months to 2 years with rotations in the following areas: Valuation, Risk Reporting, Investments, Product Pricing, Structured Products, Product Development. Actuarial Assistants will be exposed to the following areas through rotations: Cash flow testing and Embedded values analysis, Asset liability management, Portfolio risk analysis, Hedging and options strategies, Variable and fixed income product pricing, Asset valuation and Product development. Ideal candidate will have 1 or more actuarial exams completed with a commitment to pursing a FSA. Excel, Access and/or other data management software and the aptitude to customize, manipulate and/or build tools. Experience with asset liability management, risk analysis, or other investment work. Work experience in an actuarial environment. Knowledge of TAS and/or other actuarial computer programs. Basic computer programming, Visual Basic preferred. Experience manipulating large amounts of data .
