Insurance company looking to add an actuarial assistant to their staff. This position is responsible for gathering, preparing, and providing management with actuarial information through specific analyses and reports. The position relates to projection, valuation, and inforce management initiatives and will require critical analysis and summarization of that analysis in both written and oral forms. The position requires constant progress in the actuarial educational system. Ideal candidate will have a Bachelors degree in statistics, mathematics, or related field. Familiarity and comfort with spreadsheet, database, and word processing applications. Understanding of programming languages including Visual Basic is considered a plus. Excellent communication written and oral. Strong motivation with superior analytical thinking and energy. Passed 4 actuarial exams. 3-5 years of related work experience
