Senior Actuarial Analyst opening in New England. Responsibilities include: Loss forecasting and other account support; prepare forecasts for renewal accounts and large prospects; advise underwriters on use of excess models and other aspects of pricing decisions; review financials of customers' captives; estimate ultimate losses for buyout or bankruptcy situations; complete profitability studies for Major Accounts Division to determine loss ratios for booking and planning; determine profitability of individual accounts and segments of the book; work with Commercial Actuarial R&D to build, refine and test the new WC Excess Model; monitor reforms and other changes to WC costs by state to keep Excess Model current; update WC LDFs every other year or as needed; educate underwriters and basic actuarial techniques and models; supervise or mentor actuarial trainees or business analysts. Ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5-7 CAS exams and 3-4 years of P&C experience; substantial knowledge of insurance principles and ratemaking concepts required. Salary $open. (PR5206) |
