A prominent national consulting firm would like to add an experienced consulting actuary to one of its Retirement Practices in the New York metro area. Working in a complex, multidisciplinary team environment, this individual will focus on managing client relationships for medium- to large-size clients; formulating actuarially sound financial projections through retirement data analysis, trend development, rate projections, liability estimates for claim run-out and surplus, contribution rates, benefit design or legislative changes; developing and applying actuarial best practices and tools for business unit use; directing peer review work products of actuarial and pension and analytical staff; producing client deliverables in a timely fashion -- accurately, on budget and in compliance with company standards; assisting with business development by identifying client needs and opportunities to introduce or cross-sell products and services and participating in proposal drafting and new business presentations; and participating in billing decisions and bill preparation assuring high collection rates and retention of clients Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Math, actuarial science or related area; minimum EA with attainment or progress toward FSA or ASA credentials preferred; and 8-10 years of actuarial experience in the Defined Benefits area.
