Defined Contribution Plan Consultant opening on Long Island. Duties and responsibilities: All facets of administration, recordkeeping and annual compliance of qualified plans for a designated group of clients; representative client case load consists of 15 - 20 daily valued plans, which vary by plan size and complexity; determination of plan eligibility, optimum and maximum contribution levels; performance of annual non-discrimination testing; preparation of annual IRS/DOL Form 5500 and related schedules; preparation of periodic statements for plan participants; preparation and/or review of participant distribution and loan packages; responding to consulting and administrative questions from clients; primary responsibility for tracking and monitoring job progress and ensuring the necessary data is requested and received from the client and their advisors in order to meet compliance deadlines; understanding of principals, practices and procedures as they relate to daily valuation. Ideal candidate will have 5+ years of defined contribution administration experience in an equivalent position for a company in the Retirement Plan Administration business, certification with relevant organizations is also a plus, but is not a pre-requisite. Certifications include: Certified Pension Consultant (CPC), Qualified Plan Administrator (QPA), Qualified 401k Plan Administrator (QKA) or Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS). Salary $open.
