Financial organization looking to add a VP and Actuary to their staff. Actuary will be responsible for the establishment and maintenance of Actuarial Practice Standards for the organization's retirement practice. Manages the formulation of actuarial opinion on developing legislative issues with impact on the retirement industry and provides actuarial perspective and input to lobbying efforts. Directs the actuarial interpretation of newly issued pension legislation and regulation. Determines operational impacts for DB (Defined Benefit) Client Services as appropriate. Develops and delivers the necessary training, procedure changes and documentation. Assures that the appropriate degree of actuarial oversight and review is provided to the Team and to other DB Client Services staff. Assesses their DB technical training needs and drives the design and delivery of required training. Manages the delivery of actuarial review and signoff of the initial set-up and the ongoing maintenance of the DB Interactive Calculation engine for all new and existing DB outsourcing clients. Manages the delivery of DB Plan Termination Services on a profitable fee-for-service basis. A seasoned professional with 10 or more years in the pension consulting field with lead responsibility for medium to large sized pension clients. A minimum of three years experience with responsibility for pension technical standards of operation, procedures, training and compliance for an organization providing pension administrative outsourcing services.
