Life Insurer in the Northeast is looking for an Sr. Assistant Actuary. This position participates in life insurance and other protection product development, pricing and implementation, and experience monitoring. This role is responsible for ongoing maintenance of COLI and VUL lines, producing reports, enforce illustrations, performing asset/liability analysis, responding to client needs and making client recommendations. This role also contributes to supporting sales, marketing, and training efforts, the preparation of regulatory filings, and supporting other areas of the organization with insurance product knowledge and technical expertise. Primary Responsibilities include Life Insurance and Protection Product Development, Pricing and Implementation; Risk Management; Marketing, Sales and Training Support; State Regulatory Filings & Compliance; Modeling; Experience Monitoring. Education and experience include: BS in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Finance or Physics; 3-10 years of insurance industry experience; Associate of the Society of Actuaries desired; Member of the American Academy of Actuaries preferred; Experience with individual life insurance products. Broad based insurance background including exposure to sales, marketing, systems, client services, and finance with a clear understanding of the interactions between these areas.
