Health Manager & Consultant opening in Toronto. Perform in a lead capacity, responsible for project management and the delivery of health services to Multiemployer and Public Sector clients. Integral to this role is accountability for overseeing select client relationships and leading business development activities to grow health practice revenue and profitability. The incumbent collaborates with the Office Head, healthcare providers and Canadian consulting staff in promoting and delivering a wide range of health services. Projects involve a variety of issues related to the design and management of health, life, and disability plans as well as employee assistance programs. Responsibilities: Plan design and strategic reviews; quarterly and annual financial reports and renewals; development of bid specifications; RFP and analysis of proposals; budget projections; client presentations; supervision, mentoring and training of junior staff. Assume responsibility for quality assurance of the office’s health consulting services and work products and initiates, practice development efforts as needed to enhance and maintain health-related professional and competitive capabilities in the Canadian marketplace. The ideal candidate will have 10-12 years of experience within a consulting/professional service related environment and/or insurance carrier; possess advanced health & welfare benefit plan knowledge along with strong underwriting and project management skills; multiemployer benefit plan experience (a plus).
