Investment Advisory Services Practice Leader opening in Toronto. Accountable for the delivery of consulting services to multiemployer, public sector and corporate clients in Canada. Integral to this role is responsibility for the continual growth and maintenance of a competitive, quality-driven and profitable investment consulting business. Key responsibilities will include: developing the practice’s annual business plan; providing direction and leadership to an investment consulting staff; planning and executing business development strategies and initiatives to grow practice and region revenue and profitability; overseeing the quality of the practice’s client relationships and consulting to include performing in client relationship, consultant and project leadership roles; ensuring the competitive and financial viability of the practice through thought leadership and practice development activities; and serving as the primary spokesperson both internally and externally on the myriad of investment advisory issues and matters. Ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8-10 years of experience in an employee benefits oriented consulting and/or professional services environment and have demonstrated expertise in retirement benefit plan-related investment advisory services to include asset allocation, investment strategy and manager search activities. The individual will have knowledge of performance measurement, investment products and managers of these products, insurance company and mutual fund products and, direct acquaintance with the investment manager community.
