Financial Actuary opening in Mid-Atlantic Region.   Responsible for U.S. financial reporting and analysis for company’s Far East  FAS 97 Annuity lines of business. Specific functions include: Perform quarterly FAS97 valuations for the Fixed Annuity and Variable Annuity lines of business; supervise technical support for the Annuity Master valuations; review and analyze GAAP and statutory results on a quarterly basis; develop source-of-earnings analysis for actual quarterly results; review experience periodically and recommend unlocking of assumptions as needed; oversee all aspects of compliance with SOX; review and recommend appropriate reserving methodologies for new products and special product features; oversee implementation of new products and assumptions on Annuity Master; assist in the preparation of the annual budget and other financial projections; review actuarial models used for ALM and GAAP loss recognition purposes; assist in the review of Actuarial Memorandum and Annual Statement. FSA with minimum of 10 years actuarial experience, with strong background in valuation systems and GAAP financial reporting and analysis for individual life and/or annuities, preferably with supervisory experience.  Salary $open.
