P&C Actuarial Manager opening in Arizona. Review and prepare financial statements; work with product management and underwriting associates to determine revisions to rates and rating plans; work with the business unit’s management to mitigate potential catastrophe losses and assessments; oversee preparations of rate filings and prepare responses to questions from Insurance Regulators; complete special projects including catastrophe analysis and predictive modeling; provide support for the business unit's yearly plan and reinsurance renewal; prepare Actuarial opinion; oversee preparations of rate indication analyses based on historical experience; hire, develop, and evaluate subordinate personnel or propose actuarial recommendations in such matter; develop function-specific orientation and training programs for area personnel.
